Product Description

The BMW S55 is a high-performance inline-six engine developed from the N55 by BMW M, first introduced in the F80 M3 and F82 M4 as the replacement for the S65 V8, and later fitted to the F87 M2 Competition/CS. Compared with the N55, it features a closed-deck block, lightweight crankshaft, reinforced pistons and rods, upgraded bearings, revised valve materials, twin turbochargers, dual fuel pumps, active exhaust, and a more advanced cooling system with intercoolers.
