Product Description
The 1.5-liter Great Wall GW4G15 engine has been produced in China since 2008 and is installed on popular models such as the Hover M2, M4 and the similar Haval H1. This power unit was essentially a licensed copy of the Japanese Toyota 1NZ-FE engine. GW4G15 is the first VVT small-displacement engine developed by Great Wall, not a copy of Toyota’s 5A engine, but rather based on the fourth-generation Toyota NZ series. With a displacement of 1.497 liters and a cylinder bore and stroke of 75 mm × 84.7 mm, it shares the same mechanical layout as the 1NZ-FE. Like the Toyota engine, it adopts an inline 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve structure, uses an aluminum alloy cylinder block and head, features an inverted intake and exhaust manifold design, and is equipped with an engineering plastic intake manifold.
