Product Description

The 2.0-liter Honda R20A gasoline engine has been produced since 2006 and is installed on popular models such as the Honda Civic, Honda Accord and Honda CR-V. Essentially an enlarged version of the R18A, its displacement was increased by using a longer-stroke crankshaft. The engine also received an updated intake manifold and balancing shafts, while the cylinder head retained a single camshaft, 16 valves and the iVTEC system. It does not use hydraulic lifters. Compared with the earlier K20 unit, it offers a smoother, more urban-oriented character with improved low- and mid-range torque, better fuel efficiency, and simpler construction.
