Product Description

The Hyundai-Kia G4KH 2.0-liter T-GDi turbo engine has been produced since 2010 and is also offered as the G4KL for longitudinal layouts. The first iteration, used in the Sonata and Optima, featured a 9.5:1 compression ratio and produced 261–278 PS and 365 Nm. The second iteration, with electronic CVVT and a smaller turbo, raised compression to 10.0:1 and delivered 245–248 PS and 353 Nm in later Sonata and Optima models. A high-power version with a larger turbo was applied to performance models such as the i30N, Veloster N, Kona N and Elantra N, producing 250–280 PS and up to 392 Nm of torque.
