The 2.4-liter Hyundai G4KG engine, part of the Theta II family, has been produced since 2007 and is primarily used in rear-wheel-drive (FR) commercial vehicles, including the Grand Starex minibus. It features a compression ratio of 10.5:1 and delivers 175 PS (129 kW; 173 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 23.2 kg⋅m (168 lb⋅ft; 228 N⋅m) of torque at 4,200 rpm. There is also an LPG variant known as the L4KB or 2.4 LPi, rated at 159 hp, designed specifically for gas-fueled applications.
