Product Description

The Mitsubishi 4G69 was the last engine of the Sirius series, debuting in 2003 as a 2.4-liter (2378 cc) inline-four built in Japan and later in China. With an 87 × 100 mm bore and stroke, it produced about 161 hp at 5750 rpm and 219 Nm at 3500 rpm. The engine featured a cast-iron block (later switched to aluminum), an aluminum SOHC head with 16 valves, multi-point fuel injection, forged steel connecting rods, a cast camshaft, and MIVEC variable valve timing. Mitsubishi ended Sirius development in 2012, but production continued in China with updates like an aluminum block and timing chain for local manufacturers.
