Product Description

The Mitsubishi 6G72 is a 3.0-liter V6 produced at the Kyoto plant and also used by Dodge, Chrysler, and Hyundai (as G6AT). Built in multiple forms—SOHC 12-valve, SOHC 24-valve, and DOHC 24-valve—it powered a wide range of vehicles from the late 1980s onward. Early SOHC 12-valve versions in Chrysler models delivered about 141 hp and 233 Nm, while Mitsubishi’s SOHC 24-valve variant made around 181–195 hp and 255–278 Nm. A MIVEC-equipped version reached 269 hp and 304 Nm. The DOHC 24-valve appeared in models like the Debonair, 3000GT, and Dodge Stealth, producing 222 hp naturally aspirated, and up to 320 hp and 427 Nm in twin-turbocharged form with dual turbos and intercoolers. In Pajero SUVs, the 12-valve produced up to 148 hp and 235 Nm, while the 24-valve reached 178 hp and 255 Nm.
