Product Description
The 3.8-liter Mitsubishi 6G75 V6 engine was produced from 2002 to 2021 at the Kyoto plant and became the largest member of the Cyclone family, used in models like the Pajero, Endeavor, Galant, and Eclipse. It featured a cast-iron block with a 60° V-angle, aluminum SOHC heads with 24 valves and hydraulic lifters, a timing belt drive, distributed fuel injection, and intake swirl flaps. Compared to predecessors, it was upgraded with forged connecting rods, high-pressure cast pistons, and a forged steel crankshaft. Output ranged from 160 kW (218 PS; 215 hp) and 339 N⋅m (250 lb⋅ft) to 205 kW (279 PS; 275 hp) and 393 N⋅m (290 lb⋅ft), depending on application. Designed for 95 RON fuel, it could self-adjust for lower octane via knock sensors.
