Product Description
The 2.0-liter 16-valve Mitsubishi 4B11 engine has been produced since 2006 and is used in popular models such as the ASX, Outlander, Lancer, and Eclipse Cross. Developed through a joint alliance, this inline 4-cylinder DOHC engine is related to Chrysler's ECN and Hyundai's G4KA and G4KD engines. It features MIVEC variable valve timing (intake only on PHEV versions), a displacement of 1,998 cc with bore and stroke both at 86 mm (3.39 in), and a compression ratio of 10.0:1 (10.5:1 for PHEV). The fuel system is ECI-MULTI. Peak output is 110–116 kW (150–158 PS; 148–156 bhp) at 6,000 rpm with 199 N⋅m (20.3 kg⋅m; 147 lb⋅ft) of torque at 4,250 rpm, while PHEV variants deliver 87 kW (118 PS; 117 bhp) at 4,500 rpm and 190 N⋅m (19.4 kg⋅m; 140 lb⋅ft) of torque at 4,500 rpm.
