Product Description

The 1.6-liter Mitsubishi 4G18 gasoline engine was produced in Japan from 1998 to 2012, after which production moved to China, where it continues to power various local models. This SOHC 1,584 cc engine features a bore and stroke of 76 mm × 87.3 mm and uses a 4-valve-per-cylinder design. It produces between 98–110 PS (72–81 kW) and 150 N⋅m (111 lb⋅ft) of torque under European specifications. The 4G18 employs a COP (Coil-On-Plug) ignition system, where one coil fires two cylinders, with one connected via spark plug wire. Since April 2010, the engine has been manufactured by Dongan Mitsubishi Motors Engine Manufacturing in Harbin, China.
