The 2.0-liter Mitsubishi 4G94 engine was produced in Japan from 1999 to 2007 and used across several models in the Mitsubishi lineup before its technology was transferred to Chinese automakers in 2008. This engine came in two main variants:

4G94 SOHC 16-valve MPI: Featuring Multi-Point Injection (MPI), this version has a displacement of 1,999 cc with a bore of 81.5 mm and stroke of 95.8 mm. It runs a compression ratio of 9.5:1, producing 92 kW (125 PS; 123 bhp) at 5,200 rpm and 176 N⋅m (130 lb⋅ft) of torque at 4,250 rpm.

4G94 DOHC 16-valve GDI: Equipped with Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI), this variant shares the same bore and stroke but operates at a higher 11.0:1 compression ratio. It delivers 107 kW (145 PS; 143 bhp) at 5,700 rpm and 191 N⋅m (141 lb⋅ft) of torque at 3,750 rpm.

The 4G94 engine is part of the Mitsubishi Sirius family and was known for its balance of performance and efficiency, with the GDI version offering improved power and fuel economy through direct injection technology.
