The 2.0-liter Nissan KR20DDET (or KR20) VC-Turbo engine has been produced in Japan since 2017 and is mainly known for its use in the Infiniti QX50, Infiniti QX55, Infiniti QX60 and Nissan Altima. Unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, this engine introduced Nissan’s variable compression technology, allowing the compression ratio to adjust dynamically for improved power and efficiency. It entered production vehicles in 2019, replacing the previous V6 options with a more efficient yet powerful turbocharged alternative.
