Product Description
The 3.5-liter Nissan VQ35DE (VQ35) is one of the most widely produced and celebrated V6 engines from Nissan Motor Corporation, replacing the earlier VQ30DE and earning multiple "Best Engine of the Year" awards. Produced since 2000 at Iwaki and Decherd plants, it powered numerous Nissan and Infiniti models, while also appearing under the V4Y index for Renault and Samsung vehicles. This engine features an aluminum block, dual overhead camshafts, a timing chain, and CVTCS on the intake side, with forged connecting rods and crankshaft, a nylon intake manifold, and molybdenum-coated pistons for durability and performance. Although it lacks hydraulic lifters, requiring periodic valve adjustment, the design is renowned for reliability and smoothness. A Rev-Up version introduced between 2005 and 2006 for models like the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 added CVTCS on both intake and exhaust, more aggressive camshafts, a short-stroke intake, an improved oil pump, and reinforced rods, boosting power to 300–305 hp. An eco-friendly VQ35DE NEO variant was also produced for the Renault Samsung SM7, designed to meet stricter emissions standards.
