Product Description

The Toyota 4Y is a 2.2 L inline-four engine produced from 1985 to 1997, available in carbureted (4Y) and fuel-injected (4Y-E) versions. It was widely used in Town Ace and HiAce minibuses, Hilux pickups, Crown S130 sedans, and Daihatsu Delta trucks. The carbureted 4Y produced around 70 kW (95 PS; 94 hp) at 4400 rpm and 182 N·m (18.6 kg·m; 135 lb·ft) at 3000 rpm, while a detuned version with about 70 hp was offered for commercial vehicles. In China, licensed versions were manufactured as GW491Q, LJ491Q, and 4G22B.
