Product Description
The Toyota 2JZ-GE is a 3.0-liter inline-six gasoline engine produced at the Tahara Plant in Japan from 1991 to 2007, powering popular rear-wheel-drive models such as the Aristo, Crown, and Mark II. Introduced a year after the 2.5-liter 1JZ, it featured a longer piston stroke and a cylinder block 14 mm taller, while maintaining the cast-iron block, aluminium 24-valve DOHC cylinder head without hydraulic lifters, and ACIS variable intake system. In 1997, the engine was upgraded with VVT-i on the intake camshaft and replaced the distributor ignition system with a DIS-3 setup, though not a true coil-on-plug system, as each coil served two cylinders. Output ranged from 215–230 PS (158–169 kW; 212–227 bhp) at 5800–6000 rpm with 283–298 Nm (209–220 lb⋅ft) of torque at 4800–5800 rpm. The engine used sequential electronic fuel injection, a timing belt for camshaft drive, and retained many design cues and components from the smaller 1JZ-GE, earning a reputation for its durability, smooth performance, and tuning potential.

Car Engine Parts Diagram

Let us take a look at a detailed car engine parts diagram, which highlights the essential internal components of an engine. This type of diagram helps us visualize the exact location and arrangement of each part. It typically includes major elements such as the rocker cover, rocker arms, valve springs, cylinder head, spark plugs, valves, engine block, pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, camshaft, timing chain, oil pump, oil pan, and flywheel. Also shown are related parts like the ignition distributor, fuel pump, gaskets, and distribution components. By referring to such a diagram, we can gain a better understanding of how these parts interact to power a vehicle's engine.
