Structure of the Brake Master Cylinder

The brake master cylinder is the core component of the braking system, often regarded as the heart of the entire braking system, with importance comparable to that of the brake disc.
It serves to convert the mechanical force generated by the driver's pedal input into hydraulic pressure. This pressure is then transmitted through brake lines to either the wheel cylinders (drum brake systems) or calipers (disc brake systems), ultimately enabling vehicle deceleration and stopping.
